2. Types of Data Processing
2.1. Orders
Data you provide during the ordering process (e.g., name, addresses, email addresses, bank details) is used to fulfill contracts or to carry out pre-contractual measures. We may also process the data you provide to inform you about other interesting products from our portfolio.
Order Processing:
We process this data for the purposes of order acceptance, shipping, invoicing, payment processing, customer service, debt collection, and, if necessary, to enforce or defend legal claims arising from the delivery relationship. If invoices remain unpaid despite multiple reminders, we may, if necessary, transfer data to debt collection agencies for the purpose of fiduciary collection.
Shipping of Ordered Goods:
Shipping is handled in cooperation with various transport companies. For this purpose, we pass on the data necessary for delivery to these transport companies.
Credit Check:
In principle, various payment options are available to you. If you choose an insecure payment method (e.g., purchase on account), we have a legitimate interest in protecting ourselves against potential payment defaults. For this purpose, we may obtain a credit report in advance. To do so, we transmit the necessary data and use the information received to make an informed decision about establishing, executing, or terminating the contractual relationship. The credit report may include probability values (score values) calculated based on scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical methods, which may include address data. Upon request, we will provide you with information about the credit service provider used.
Fraud Prevention:
The personal data you provide may be used to review particularly atypical order processes. We have a legitimate interest in preventing payment defaults and protecting customers from the misuse of their personal data. Fraud prevention is carried out either by us or with the support of external service providers.
Advertising:
We process your data for the purpose of sending email advertising if you have provided us with your email address during the ordering process, as well as for print advertising. You can object to the use of your data for direct advertising purposes at any time free of charge, with no costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs.
Retention Periods:
We may store your data as long as it is necessary for contract fulfillment and within the regular limitation period. For the assertion or defense of legal claims, we may store data, if necessary, until the expiration of the maximum limitation periods.
